Conversion en scratch sur la base du M3A1 Stuart Verlinden

Etant donné que la caisse présente des différences avec celle du M3A1, j'ai pensé qu'il serait plus facile de refabriquer entièrement une nouvelle caisse. Sur celle-ci ne sera greffée que le nez du M3A1 et le train de roulement qui lui sera aussi profondemment modifié pour être conforme car la largeur des roues et des patins de chenilles sont totalement fantaisistes. C'est pourquoi je refabriquerai des roues à la largeur conforme en scratch sur la base de celle du kit ainsi que de nouveaux patins de chenilles. J'en profiterai aussi pour les rendre mobiles, ce qui facilitera leur mise en place finale. A ce jour, la caisse est en cours et quand je serai moins fainéant, je mettrai des photos...

Scratchbuilt conversion based on the Verlinden's M3A1 Stuart

Because the M3A1 and the M5A1 lower hull are significantly different, I thought it would be easier to build from scratch a new one instead of modifying the resin kit parts. I will add to it the front nose from the resin kit only. Then the bogies, road wheels and tracks will be attched to this new hull. I also will have to modify the road wheels to make the plain type and to enlarge them to the correct width. The track shoes will also have to be modified so that they should be of the same correct width since they are far too wide. Fortunately enough, the pitch is correct. I will try to get the tracks articulated for an easier fit. So far, the major parts of the new lower hull are assembled and when I do not feel lazy, I will show the photos...
